MWRA chief Frederick Laskey confirm Repairs at the MWRA’s water main break in Weston. He say “highly unusual and catastrophic” — are well underway this Sunday morning, but Melrose residents and others in affected areas in the state are still warned to boil water before using it for drinking.

A boil water order was put into effect for 28 MWRA communities east of Weston until further notice, After 1pm on Sunday you will also be able to get water at 1 Merry mount Road in Quincy. A major water main break in Weston is the cause. Emergency water conservation measures were being put in place for the impacted communities.
