"This November has become the biggest month for Kindle sales since we launched the product two years ago," Berman said. But he declines to disclose how many Kindle units have been sold over that period.

Also, Berman said the e-tailer sold out of its Cyber Monday deal of the day, which was an 8GB iPod Touch for $158.

Other hot sellers Monday included the hugely popular Zhu Zhu pet hamsters, which are sold on Amazon through third party vendors.

Although the retail price of each hamster is $9.99, Berman said some of the hamsters, such as Mr. Squiggles, were selling for as much as $63 each.

The CBS interview was part of a segment on potential candidates for "Real Housewives of D.C." but never was aired. The Secret Service learned about the security breach Wednesday after a media inquiry prompted by the Salahis' online boasts about having attended the private event, Donovan said.
One of the many photos from the dinner posted on Michaele Salahi's Facebook page shows the couple with a smiling Vice President Joe Biden. In other photos, they appear alone or together with White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, Washington Mayor Adrian Fenty, CBS News anchor Katie Couric, Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., and three Marines in their dress blues.

Donovan would not comment on whether the couple had been contacted by the Secret Service, how long they were on the White House grounds or other details of the investigation. The Post said uninvited guests who got in could face a potential trespassing charge unless someone from inside the White House staff slipped them in.

The agency's Office of Professional Responsibility was reviewing what occurred. An initial finding indicated that a checkpoint did not follow proper procedures to ensure the two were on the guest list, Donovan said.

"It's important to note that they went through all the security screenings — the magnetometer screening — just like all the other guests did," Donovan said. And, he added, Obama and others under Secret Service protection had their usual security details with them at the dinner.

She reportedly also called Merriman, a linebacker for the San Diego Chargers, a "woman beater" and accused him of drug use.

Tequila, who previously starred on MTV's bisexual dating show "A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila," also said, "I am an angel ... because I am here to save the world with my army."

The model's lawyer told TMZ that the incident with Merriman may have "pushed her over the edge," and that he would be getting his client "help."

An autopsy is currently underway and a cause of death has yet to be released. Last night, Shaniya Davis’ father was at a candlelight vigil in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was extremely overwrought with grief and had to be held up by those surrounding him.

Police in Fayetteville held a 8pm news conference to announce more charges and the cause of death of 5 year old Shaniya Davis. Investigators along with the district attorney for Cumberland county said say they have filed: murder and rape charges being against Mario McNeil who is already charged with first degree kidnapping. Officer say McNeil may have a first appearnce Friday morning in Cumberland County on the new charges. Police also announced that 5 year old Shaniya Davis died from asphyxiation.

Reports state that Mario McNeill has remained in isolation since he surrendered to authorities on November 13, 2009, after being seen carrying Shaniya Davis in his arms in a hotel. Police say they do not believe that Shaniya Davis was killed inside the hotel.

In addition to Mario McNeil, Shaniya Davis’ mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, faces charges of filing a police report, human trafficking, and child abuse involving prostitution. More details regarding Antoinette Davis’ role in Shaniya’s death have not yet been made public. It is possible that she may also face additional charges as the investigation goes forward. Antoinette Davis was arrested on November 14, 2009, the day following the arrest of Mario McNeill. Antoinette Davis reported Shaniya missing during the early morning hours of November 10, 2 009. Her body was found on November 16, 2009 in a forested area off of Highway 87 in Sanford, North Carolina.

The delay in additional charges was due to jurisdiction issues between Cumberland County and Lee County. Cumberland County is the county of Shaniya’s last known residence and Lee County is where her body was found. The case is being prosecuted through Cumberland County. In the past several days, suspicion has arisen that Antoinette Davis gave her daughter to Mario McNeill as a way to pay off unresolved drug debts. Those allegations were not addressed during tonight’s press conference, though it has been stated that authorities continue to follow up on those suspicions and that they are part of the investigation.

An Elmira resident is organizing a bone marrow drive in honor of her young cousin who passed away from leukemia.

The first step of the drive is to find bone marrow matches for those in need. The registry is scheduled for this Thursday at the Chemung County YMCA from three-to-seven. At the event, you can register to be a bone marrow donor by bringing in a photo id and getting a mouth swab. The organizer says this drive means a lot to her. “It will mean the world to me, it will mean a lot to know that we couldn't save Nina but we can save somebody else's cousin, it would mean a lot.” said Suki Crespo-Vega. Vega says donors with diverse racial or ethnic backgrounds are needed the most. Patients in need of a transplant usually match someone of their own race and ethnicity.
